Key to stern room?

I started off playing fane, got a key to the stern room, which there is a locked door at the stern. The key must go to it but its always saying its still locked. I even cleared the entire level right up until i leave the ship. So i know for a fact this key is for that door, still wont open though, is it bugged? or am i using the key wrong

Well some people are crazy and kill everyone, if you kill everyone you cannot progress cause the door is locked...and the guard opens the door when you talk to him...if he dies he cant open the door....meaning you are trapped...the stern opens the door he is standing by.

Really? I didn't kill anyone! I talked to every character, I know the door youre talking about, that door was opened, im talking about the door thats locked in that room that gets opened for you.

The kitchen? theres a key that opens it by ifan.

Hit Alt and you will find the greasy key to the right of the door.

Greasy key is just for the kitchen.

Thankfully, you can slash/punch mosty flimsy wood doors to death!

Just destroy the door
