How to get controller to work
I have a PS4 controller plugged in, and as far as I can tell Windows recognizes it and lets me calibrate it, etc. I read another post here that says you press A (or X I would assume on PS4) at the title screen to turn it on, but it doesn't do anything. I also have PS4 selected in the options under Gameplay. Has anyone gotten this to work and how so? Thanks in advance.

Have you tried using your controller to play-test any other games first just to make sure it works on any games?

If it worked... then try downloading and using x360ce, perhaps it will help you get the controller working with this game.

I know there is a keybind to switch control mode...ctrl-shift-q I think. Look in the keybinds menu. Maybe try that!

I have but I'm not sure what your problem might be. Tried running it from big picture mode or playing around with controller settings in there?

You shouldn't need any emulation software at all. It should just be plug in and go.

No ps button prompts though. Sad times.

Are you using DS4Windows? If not, give it a try.

I went into Steam Big Picture mode and could navigate the options using my controller. I went into Controller Options and checked the box next to PS4 Configuration or something like that. D:OS2 still doesn't recognize any inputs though.

You can change the prompts from Xbox to Playstation in the Options>Gameplay if I recall correctly.

We had the same problem. In steam, top left corner, choose Steam->Settings and the last option should be controllers.
In that meny go to general settings and activate the ps4 controller.

I did this, and I set up all the buttons in the layout. The game still doesn't recognize any input presses.

This and restarting the game worked for me!

For this kind of game, the controls are surprisingly good. More than adequate, I'd say. Takes a little getting used to, but I've found myself using a controller more than kb+m.
