How the hell do you douse the Historian?
I've tried everything. Rain, Blessed water, Blood rain, I even tried blessing the blood.

you hardly get nothing tho because a portal opens in the room giving you access to a crumbling skull and through another portal a chest with a guaranteed epic and usually a rare or magic item as well, and a pearl or other valuables

well yeah but we actually looted the chest before we ever freed him so for me he gave us nothing ...well he technically gave us the skull but I don't know what it's used for.

You'll get more XP and less grief if you just kill him. Unfortunately a lot of the game is like that.

in tactic difficalty it starts bleeding after you pull off necrofire , so you have to teleport him at the poison cloud area near the stairs as he will die if not . then if you talk to him he says hes week from the bleeding and you have to some how stop the bleeding on an undead :( . havent figure how to do that yet .

you need to bless him with the source/god power

You need to make a blood sacrifice, I just jumped a character up to him, then shot my character making him bleed under the historian. Make sure you have source though as you need to use bless right after or he will bleed to death and die.
This helped me!

the blood thing didn't seem to work unless I removed all my guy's armor before hitting him (was previously just smacking him till the armor broke n drew blood everywhere)

Its very easy actually: If you have Sebille character just use the Flesh Sacrifice once and teleport The Historian into the puddle of blood that is created. Then Bless him and - voila! :)

This is what i do. Teleport him on top puddle of blood. Then bless him

How in the world would you figure this out without googling it? I could have spent the rest of my life trying to figure it out and I never would have guessed blessing him in blood does something.

Even after reading how you do it I still don't understand WHY that does anything??

I cast bloodrain on him then blessed the blood underneath him.
Viper 28/set./2017 às 14:33
I had no problems with this
Enorats 28/set./2017 às 14:45
I just had my elf "tactical retreat" herself up there, used flesh sacrifice to make a pool of blood, then teleported the historian onto it and blessed the blood.

if you haven't used the ring to bypass the maze, and come across it normally the gargoyle gives you a "hint" in the form of a riddle.

"How would Braccus Rex put out the fire?"
a "blood bath".

I had to look this up, because between the flaming pigs and this guy, I felt completely confused, and I read EVERYTHING and play slowly and get completely into the game and I had NO IDEA why the hell this combination works at all. Plus, I played the first game. I have no clue how you are supposed to know that you need to "blood rain" (or get blood on him in some other way) and then "bless" this guy? There is no text or book, or speech or hint or anything anywhere that even mentions this.

it's a completely perplexing design decision as far as I can tell. I still can't figure out how other players "got it" at all. It makes zero sense.
