Much love from Larian!
So if I recruit soeone and then dismiss them they'll turn up at a tavern or something like D:OS? What about if I never recruit them. Will they stay where I wa suspposes to recruit them, be at a tavern to recruit later, or not be recruitable at all?
X:132, Y:161
I found a skeleton, lizard and elf girl along with Beast, but haven't seen any others yet
The both women are kind of alright. For what's worth - there are worse things than a Widowmaker from Overwatch & Neera from Baldur's Gate rip-offs.
The other 4 are just...idk. Kinda boring really. Add to that, that not everyone likes everybody...i need companions, not teens who cry and ♥♥♥♥♥ and moan and be edgy all day long.
Please tell me i can just hire mercs...
Kinda expected Siwan to be one of the possible companions, but it seems it would have been asked too much to actually have somebody you are trying to save survive. Not dramatic enough i guess.
The dialogue with her, including something like "I...I don't even know what to say...why, why would you ever stay behind just to give me a sliver of a chance to survive?" would have been honestly more enjoyable than all the "Omg, i am like totally going to kill everybody" from the elf or "Bloogey woogey woo, i'm the possessed sorcerer cliche Nr.128" from the redhead combined. You know, genuine loyalty from the get go, not this "I am going to be all angsty and insecure until half-way through the game and by the end of it really warm up to you"
Not quite sure whether i romantisized the ♥♥♥♥ out of previous Larian titles, or whether the writing in this one is just going down the GoT rabbit hole of everyone being miserable, whiny, edgy and / or dead / abused / crazed.
There are also 2 when you first enter the prison. Ifan is with the elf girl being harrassed, and the other is a woman talking to herself near the front of the statue.
Great game, and absolutely loving the characters and their stories Larian.
