i'm planning hire them just to upgrade his/her crafting skill to the max and to craft high level equipment/item
then dismiss them after the item created
Not only you can switch up your party but it will happen more often than in the previous game because your party members may decide to leave your party or straight up try to kill you depending how your dialogues / choices go.
And as soon as you finish the Prologue of the game you gain access to respec and mercenaries so you can remake your team entirely and even use hiremen to fill-up your holes in your party eventually. (we never saw them yet so hard to tell how they will be exactly)
so you could hire mercenaries, but in order to use them you must dismiss one (or more) your party member at the cost bribing him/her to rejoined later ?
in the middle of my game , three of my friend join my game also with custom character.
after this scenario, could we recruit the other six "origin character" ?,
so our "squad member" will be ten in total. four from custom character and six from origin story
Yes you can, that's what the "homestead" aka player base is for, among other things, to serve as a gathering spot for those companions/followers you have unlocked but currently don't want tagging along.
As far as I know, there is a limit of 4 party members at any time.
Hm, should technically be possible, although that would be very hard to do without a guide... we already know from the EA that there are cases where Origin Quests conflict with one another, quite intentionally, so for instance if you took Lohse with you first, there will be some NPCs that she just wants to kill, whereas the Red Prince would have needed to question those NPCs, just as a random example from the very earliest minutes in Fort Joy.
