Though I’d argue there’s other things you could look into to help stop you from dying in the first place to need it, you might also just find this useful in a pinch. Though I’d then be curious to see how the idol of rebirth works in there too. If it works like I think it might, you’d trigger comeback kid first and revive at full, then die again for the rebirth idol to take effect and that death/resurrection should then reset comeback kid, meaning it could trigger again after the rebirth resses you. So in total you’d theoretically get three deaths in combat that all self-res.
Its something I was considering further down the line. It actually works wonders for Fane who is easily the weakest physical character in my party. Allows me to be more reckless with him. Now imagine the hell I could raise with Ifan and The Prince. My party just leveled up in a middle of a large fight in the blackpits. Pretty much healed the whole party which was a great tactical fluke but it sort of got me thinking...
Thanks. I had a feeling it might not technically be a Resurrection skill. Pity but not that big of a deal. Just one less perk I would have to have.
I am probably going to get comeback kid, it just provides that extra resilience that might come handy in a fight at some point. I am still mulling over the list of talents for each char in my party. Sorta bummed there aren't more interesting perks to pick from the list this time around.
Really keeping my fingers crossed that BG3 does well. The benefits an eventual Original Sin 3 would reap from the wealth of knowledge they pick up from BG3. Living up to Baldur's Gate 2's legacy would be quite a feat but living up to Baldy's Gate's expectations? Thats a tall order.
Chaos, dude, not sure if you are still actively playing this game but you definitely need to try your hand at an evasive build char. It works really well I tell you but it does take some time and patience. Like I said before you just need to get to 30% and the benefits start pulling their weight. Feeling is entirely something else when your opponents cannot touch you hand to hand it knows. Normally the AI s quick to react but more than a few fights I had it so badly stump it took it a good couple of seconds to make its move.
