Wrecker's Cave, north east island
so, I got kidnapped by voidwoken, and I've managed to get 3 party members together. But my main character is stuck on the little mini island in the north east part of the cave. I can't figure out how to get to him. Unfortunately for me, I forgot to put one of the pyramids in another part members inventory.

I;ve tried fighting by manually transporting 2 characters onto the island with the transportation skill. But that fight is so frustrating. My main character's turn keeps getting skipped and he just takes a constant beating from everything. Whenever his turn is coming up, for some reason, all the enemies get to attack again first. He doesn't have any delibitating status effects.

I basically can't fight back ...

That fight one of the characters' gets transported to is really hard, especially on Tactician :S.

It is best to port that character out to another character, you can aggro the voidwoken from across a chasm or you can run in. Running in is hard because there is a height advantage on a vampiric voidwoken and the flying bug.

Gotta love the game cheating in combat, when everyone says it's true, there's a problem with the game. Love the game, but I had to accept that the game could start cheating at any time and there was nothing I could do about it.

Can you teleport to a nearby waypoint? Can you flee from combat? (there's a button for that ... I'd assume you knew but I've run into a few people who've just never seen it)

Can you teleport one of the monsters off a cliff or something?

Liberal use of potions!

And, ultimately, you might have to start from an older save. You should be quicksaving every 15 minutes, if not more frequently. (I probably quicksave every 5 minutes)

ugh... just use the teleporter pyramids to join everyone up? no? just drag n drop the red one to each party member and have them teleport to the blue one? no? worked for me.

as I said, I forgot to sort out the pyramids before being kidnapped.

I managed to win after 3 attempts. But I still lost 2 party members. The same thing happened again where my turns kept getting skipped in favor of the enemy. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Anything different when you enter the Wrecker Cave through the Exit of it and not through the Entrance?
Apparently I have just entered the Wrecker Cave through the Exit of it according this map.

a big difference, you'll face Mordus directly and circumvent the entire storyline of the cave.
I would still suggest entering the normal way as opposed to through the exit. Cause for all the frustration it generates at the end, it's actually a pretty fun dungeon. Trying to reunite your party is quite cool.

Reunite my party isn't really hard when you know how to use those two pyramids ;-)

It's fun and hard if you failed to remember to split to pyramids among team members, like Yours Truly here. Either way, it's quite an interesting part of that quest line, a bit of shame if you'd miss it. I would still suggest going the intended way (the Wrecker's cave main entrance) and go through the whole thing.

I went exploring the cave and my group get split up by those voidwoken spiders.
2 under attach and 2 are free, at the moment those two that are free are together.

So, I think, it seems that it doesn't matter where you enter the Wrecker's Cave. Your team get kidnapped and split up.

Yes, that's intentional. You will always get ambushed by 4 unbeatable Voidwoken (at least at that level) who web you and kidnap you. I'm just not sure if there is a designated sequence that determines who ends up where. In the 3 reloads that I did for that part, my main character always ended up on the north east isle surrounded by voidwoken. The other ones appear randomized.

However, if you enter the cave from the technical exit (near the coast waypoint), you won't get kidnapped, but you'll fight Mordus immediately instead.

That doesn't necessarily work. For example, I teleported a character in to help the other character who was in the fight. Then that ended up screwing over my whole party because the two of them in the fight still have no possible way to win. And they can't teleport out because they don't have enough Action Points to use the pyramids, and they can't survive long enough to regenerate the number that is needed.

My other characters can't reach them because of a) locked doors that they can't open and also b) they can't survive vs. the monsters that attack them on their path.

I can't teleport to a "nearby" portal because I don't have any. The closest one is in Driftwood Square. My characters in the cave have no possible way to reach the portal that is also in it due to the same problems just mentioned in the previous paragraph.

So my only possible option is to Waypoint everyone back to Driftwood Square, and then manually walk all the way to the back entrance of the cave, which is obviously not how this mission is "designed" to be played. The fact that the game forces me into this situation where the proper way to do it is broken and there is nothing else I can do about it, other than "cheat" my way out of it, indicates poor design.

You're not forced into combat when you drop into the North East (nothing looks at the spawn point; you have to make yourself move into their vision to fight anything - and for some reason not be paying attention to enemy vision - to end up in battle), so action point cost is irrelevant... can send a pyramid to that character and get them out to everyone else.

Don't see the problem.

It sounds like you have both teleporters but they're both with one person? What do you mean you 'forgot to sort out the pyramids?'

Do you know that you can pass items to any members inventory (or even use them while theyre still in another member's bag)? Just open the bag that has the pyrmaids with each character and click 'use.'

If you mean instead that you simply don't have the pyramids with you, then you can always teleport to a waypoint.

I don't really see a problem here. The game gave you all the tools you need, and then put you in a challenging situation. What happens from there is on you.
