Ifan Act 2 - Act 3 SPOILER Question

Hi,

So i am just about ready to leave act 2 and malady says to me (Ifan) "are you sure you want to leave? don't you have some lone wolf to find or something?" and I realise that my journal never updated after saying I know where Roost is. I stormed the sawmill and killed all the wolves and went up to Roost and it was an immediate fight with no dialogue prompts. I looted the divine order book and read it but the quest hasn't updated. Sibelles did (the blind elf isn't in my game she was killed in act 1) but Ifan didn't. So my question is: If i move on to act 3 will it just drop his quest line permanently?

I don't think it drops the quest. Did you read everything you picked up in the room roost was in? I had to go back a read something for it to update.

Also, did you talk to the black mirror?

I'm having this same issue. As far as I can tell I read everything in Roost's room and nothing changes. I even went back through my inventory and reread everythiing I had to try to get the quest to update but it didn't work. Unless whatever it is can be sold and I sold it I would appear to be stuck as Ifan is my main and I don't really want to leave his quest behind. Does anyone know what document you are supposed to read to advance this quest?

Could also try using spirit vision to talk to Roost after you kill him. Very possible you can progress it that way, assuming you didn't purge the corpse for source.

I'm the same as beardie. I definitely picked up and read the 2 notes on Roost's corpse and activated the mirror BUT now that I think about it I did so as Sibelle the first time since she was who I happened to be controlling at the end of the fight. I put the book and letter in my/Ifan's inventory and read them with him as well as interact with the mirror but matbe it only register's the first use? Like with Fane in act one: I didn't have him in my party at the moment I killed the woman with his mask and when i put it in his inventory later his quest didn't update. but when i put the faceripper in his inventory THAT did?!

Also i did talk to his spirit but he doesn't say anything useful
