Noxious Bulb Hint for players looking to deal with them.
There is a book in a room near the High Judge.

Match the element that they represent. For some reason they are destroyed by their own elements. Weird huh?

I think the devs are just trolling people that don't read their stuff with those things. :D

I've tried that and it doesn't work, though. Hitting a green bulb with a poison attack does nothing.

Have to use Poison Dart.

What are you talking about? I am literally trying to hit a green noxious bulb with poison dart right now, and the game tells me "invalid target." So that advice doesn't work. And neither does the many other advices on the internet that say "hit them with their own element. The "contamination" spell does absolutely nothing to the green noxious bulb either.

So what's the real way to destroy them that actually works? Does one even exist?

it works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uhb-reqsgEM

personally I just teleport them or drag them away. Yes, you can throw bulbs around the map.

It works. I just did it. Now you can use Staff of Magnus as well.
It's quite simple really.
You do need to hit the <ctrl> key (or such you have as destruction target) for it to work.
So you can take your gripe elsewhere - it seems to be a thing with you and DOS games.

I found out that bulbs can be teleported.... so learn the teleportation skill and teleport them the hell away from your path

I'm only playing DOS2 now, so you probably solved this by now. But for anyone else still looking for this:

It's correct (and a little confusing) that the green noxious bulbs cannot be damaged or destroyed. Even not with their own element. They can however be disabled by hitting them with their own element. In case of the green noxious bulb: with poison.

So, take a poisonous staff of Magus, or a poisonous dart, and hit them (hold ctrl to attack if needed). They'll stop spreading clouds. Maybe use some fire the clear up the poisonous clouds that are already there.

(Edit: note that moving them around will still make them create clouds)

It looks like they updated it, I moved the noxious bulbs with teleport to a safe location and the heads still blew up.
