The pressing issue that plagues a lot of people as they reach act 4 is builds. Act 4 can feel like a victory lap if you're perfectly applying every principle demonstrated in previous acts, or it can be a brick wall if you've been skating by. Specifically, if your characters don't have maxed-out damage attributes and skill trees, you're going to have a really hard time actually breaking through enemy armor in order to prevent incoming damage through crowd control. Tanking incoming hits is always bad throughout the game, and it only gets worse in act 4.
Can you give us a sense of your party, and how they're built? The more specific the better, screenshots would be ideal.
Ah, makes sense then. Pretty sure my builds are garbage since this is the first game of this type I've played.
Main mage is a close range Aerothurge with a staff and finesse armor. She is usually fine, but I still get one shot now and then. She seems to be the best damage dealer, but the CC is not very nice.
STR 5
FIN 14 +5
INT 33 + 12
CON 13 + 4
MEM 20 +5
WIT 18 +4
Red Prince is a simple 2H knight. Pretty much everything in warfare with some buffs on the side.
STR 29 + 5
FIN 10
INT 5
CON 22
MEM 16
WIT 16
Fane is a summoner with some pyro, but I mostly use him to keep everyone buffed and alive. Works great if I survive turn 1.
STR 1
FIN 1
INT 1
CON 1
MEM 1
WIT 1
Ifan is a pure rogue, and does pretty nicely with invis and debuffs.
STR 10 + 7
FIN 10
INT 28 + 2
CON 14 + 4
MEM 23
WIT 15 + 2
Also, including skills would be worthwhile. Skills are just as important to builds as attributes. Talents to a lesser extent, still somewhat relevant.
Beyond that, as Chaoslink said, you're picking the harder fights in the act. But that said, I wouldn't consider level to be as relevant in the endgame as it was in the earlier acts, as scaling is relatively more minor at this stage in the game.
For the finesse on my mage, I'm using to get the armor, since my mage does spend a fair bit of time close to enemies. Otherwise I will definitely look into respeccing to round out a few issues. Thanks for the info though ^^
go to vendor
sell all your crap
buy new weapons for everyone
look rings with +2 to something critical for your build and keep em regardless of level if you are getting +2 warfare keep it.
Have one of your players with Lucky Charm maxed out ..
If you have been upgrading your weapons , and pushing the stat that scales the weapon and choosing the stat area "Like Warfare" that scales the weapon .... you should be able to drop the armour off an opponent and kill him in the first round... if you cant .. you are going to die ...
That first ARX battle outside the city was just brutal. Had to rez my characters into a dome of protection at least once each, but finally passed it.
