How do I read "Taming of the Holy Fire"?

I am on Bloodmoon Island with my friend and neither of us can read it. My friend has high INT and he can't either. What do we need to do? I tried talking to Tarquin but I there was no dialogue option either. In the room where I found it I also saw the other part of Anathema on the other side, how do I get there?

Hmm, thanks, any idea where I can find an NPC companion to read it? Or are there other options?

Both Red Prince and Fane can read it without issue. If neither of them are in your party, you're out of luck, unfortunately.

Sebille does have the [Scholar] tag too.

The other part of Anathema just requires a Wits check, for your character to be able to open the secret door in the wall.

Reading the complicated book requires [Scholar] as people have already said above. The most important tag to make sure one character has, otherwise you miss out on being able to do the three possession quests (they are inconsequential side missions, one of which people are known for raging about, so don't feel bad about missing them).
