Recommend similar games with co-op?
My fiance and I loved this, but we've finished it and now we're trying to find another RPG that is also co-op. So as per title, can anyone offer suggestions for games that let you fully play the campaign in co-op? Oh, and please no games that are incomplete/early access. Thanks everyone!

Here are the co-op rpgs we've played already:
- All the Borderlands
- Grim Dawn 1+2
- Divinity 1+2
- NWN platinum (no longer avail on steam)
- Portal
- Terraria
- Starbound
- State of Decay 2

There are no games that I know of like divinity with co-op other than baldurs gate 3 which is early access.

Based on the other games you played though, if you liked Grim Dawn you might enjoy Torchlight 2.

Secrets of Grindea is also a good co-op rpg, I know you said you don't want early access games but just gonna mention it in case you want to keep an eye on it and buy it when it's done.

They're nothing like DOS2, but my co-op friends and I have been getting a ton of game time out of Deep Rock Galactic and Valheim recently. If the goal is to co-op with your fiance and the actual RPG nature is somewhat secondary, they might be worth a look. Especially if you enjoyed Teraria.

Definitely keep an eye on Baldur's Gate 3 for when it's fully released. Early Access currently.
I'd recommend NWN:EE, Starbound, and Divinity 2

If you like the tactical combat angle then Age of Wonders III (fantasy genre) or Age of Wonders: Planetfall (sci fi) might be up your alley, although they're 4X games rather than RPGs.

Since you've got things like Portal and Borderlands in there, you could also take a look at Deep Rock Galactic. It's a fantastic coop game, but (other than having dwarves) doesn't share much in common with DoS2.

Thanks for the suggestions so far guys! :Mammoth:

While I am not looking for Early Access games I'll still have a peek at Secrets of Grindea as I have seen it mentioned a few times now @ Senkai. I forgot to add torchlight to the list of completed games, my bad!

Yes, I am for sure keeping my eye on BG 3 and can't wait for it to leave early access! I haven't heard of Deep Rock Galactic but I do like sci fi games quite a bit, so I'll check that out as well as Valheim @ YojoOo

Thanks for the suggestion for NWN:EE, I totally forgot about it! I have already played the other two though! @ Zevos

You know, I haven't played a tactical game in a good while now, might have to look into them again for at least the co-op part. Definitely checking out that Deep Rock Galactic too! @Syrris

Can't think of many pure RPGs with the depth of Divinity, but there are some slightly similar games to make note of.

Kenshi and Rimworld are both games with a large focus on roleplaying and emergent storytelling, but they're not exactly the same as DOS:

Kenshi is a strictly singleplayer open world squad based survival game that's most accurately compared to Mount & Blade Warband (which, while singleplayer and quite old, is also worth looking at)

Rimworld is a singleplayer (with a multiplayer mod via Steam Workship if memory serves) colony management game, sort of like The Sims with the addition of organ harvesting and omnicidal squirrels.

Oxygen Not Included and Factorio are tangentially related to Rimworld in that they're both world management games (building a colony/factory) and I know for a fact that Factorio has multiplayer, but they've a tendency to be both highly addictive and cognitively exhausting.

I'll second Deep Rock Galactic, it's one of the best co-op FPS games on the market. Payday 2, Dying Light and Warhammer: Vermintide are some other great co-op FPS games (the latter two are more slashers than shooters though), and Terraria has a free extension called Tmodloader that lets you easily mess around with mod packs for the game. Calamity is the most commonly referenced mod, and has an absolutely ludicrous amount of content.

-Resident evil 5: full coop campaign with a tiny bit of rpg (mostly buying new weapons and upgrading them). If killing zombies is your stuff.

-Dead Island: Survive on an island full of zombies with your fiance, the story is a bit meh but it's fun playing with others.

-Stardew valley: Farm simulator with a story, dungeons to explore and lot's of different things to do, full coop.

-Fable 2: For xbox 360 only if you have one, very good rpg witha good story. Kinda old maybe..

-Guild wars 2: It's an mmorpg but the base game is free and there is a story.

-The Secret World: Same as guild wars, the story is awesome and the side quests too (exploring a pyramid full of traps, looking in your own bible to get answers for a quest etc..). Really loved this one, they made it a free2play game and renamed it Secret world legends. The fighting system is meh but it's worth doing for the story.

Edit, I forgot about:

-Spellforce 3 and spellforce 3 soul harvest: basicaly a mix of rpg and strategy games, you'll need a decent computer to run them and only the host can create his own character in spellforce 3... In Souls Harvest the both of you will be able to create one.

-Dark souls 1-2-3, very good games but can be quite hard for new players. The coop is strange here, you'll have to summon each other if you want to play coop and it can be hard to find each other... Also other players can (and will) invade your world and try to kill you (or kill the both of you)from time to time. If you want to try Dark souls it's probably better to start with the 3 since the coop is a lot easier in this one (Shouldn't be too hard to find each other).

-Orc must die 2: TD game, the both of you will have to defend a portal against waves of monsters by using traps and other fun stuff.

-Don't starve together: A survival with a dark tone, can be quite hard.

-Heroes of hammerwatch: A rogue like/RPG, no real campaign/story but still fun with friends.

PLAY VALHEIM! I promise you will not regret it!

I know this is old but my friend and I started playing Wasteland 3 so that might be up your alley too!

I notice you said NWN platinum, but there is an enhanced version available on steam. If, you only played the campaigns for NWN plat, then you missed out on a plethora of amazing Fan made modules, which In many peoples' opinion far outweighed the campaigns, even Hotu. NWN was also the first basic MMORPG and there are plenty of servers available to play in that way too.

If you look it up on Steam you will see a sticky listing the 100 or so best mods to play, some/many of which are MP.

Have fun :)

Valheim. You will not regret it.

Another one not yet mentioned, since we are crossing genres here and just going by "fun co-op" if you can get it in discount is The Ascent. its a top-down shooter, and whilst has some coop bugs is still a good 20 hours of big gory fun.

I never quite understood the love for Deep Rock Galactic to be honest. A lot of people seem to be crazy about it, but from what little I played it just felt like a basic shooter combined with mining sim. Also my character's voice from the tutorial was downright cringe. Maybe it's good if you have a dedicated group of friends to play with, that's what seems to be the consensus anyway.

As for co-op games, not exactly an RPG but It Takes Two seemed to be all the rage recently.

DRG is very good when difficulty and player skillset mix proper, and especially earlier as it was in early access it was very fast and responsive in progress.
