Captain's armor set worth keeping on at higher levels?
Hi, my party is at level 16 and I still have Fane (scoundrel build) with Captain Armor's set equipped for the Tyrant's charm aura which comes in handy at times. Being a level 8 set, I'm wondering if I really should ditch it now?

I'd have ditched it awhile ago at that rate. Like level 12 or even earlier. The charm is just an attack of opportunity spell with a charm effect. Charm grenades are far more reliable. Its good early on, but not all game good.

Honestly, the barter and persuasion bonuses are really useful if you're not planning to steal everything you need. Other than that, it's not that worth hanging on to.

I keep it just for non-combat use; buying and selling things with the bartering bonus is super useful. And I love lucky charm, so when I am wandering without likely running into a fight, I use the boots. And I don't really need the persuasion usually, but good to have if you somehow don't have enough persuasion.

If you really like it, there is a way to upgrade once later in the game

Any unique item sold to the Fletcher Corbin NPC you can get to join your ship will bump up to level 18 when you transition to act four. You will have to buy them back or steal them.
