first weapon

i beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of the guard on the tutorial deck opened everything and havent found a weapon, but I know there is one because I played a bit with my cousin on a seperate playthrough and we found it. i even went upstairs and couldnt find one, can anyone help?

You have to progress abit until Wendigo causes a disaster, in the room where she goes boom; weapons are located.

Yeah, there's a weapon crate right after the plot hits.

In the tutorial area, the location where you wake up on the table, theres a pocket knife in a barrel in the room where there is bread and ham on the table.

For any "good" weapon, you need to search the chest post windego explosion, as mentioned above. However, there is a knife on the lower tutorial deck, and a knife in the kitchen area behind the guard talking to Ifan. If you took scoundrel or warfare skills at the beginning, you can use those with the knives, but other than that, you'll be only using them with basic attacks. If you are using keyboard and mouse, holding left alt will have a popup of each nearby item's name to make it easier to find them.

Right after the room with the sheep there's one with some barrels and a set of pressure plates. Should be a dagger in one of them. There's another upstairs in the kitchen. You might also be able to buy some crafting mats off the guards/people and make one. After killing the dog in the room with all the Origin characters, I've been able to make a leather chestpiece from buying a needle and thread off the kids. I've also made a staff from a long brach and shell, wand using a short stick and skull and a few other weapons using the various materials they spawn randomly with. Just depends on what you get lucky enough to find. That whole first ship takes me quite some time since I fight just about everything I can and spend a long time trying to craft tools to help me with that. I'll even steal from as many people as possible to get the items if I have to.
