From the Ashes - Not working on all characters...

I had 3 characters dead in my group, but when I used the bedroll with "From the Ashes" turned on, only one of them was resurrected. Even when I stand right next to these dead characters and hit the bedroll, nothing happens. This is in Definitive Edition. Has anyone else come across this issue?

Are the characters linked together?

Sorry to necro an old thread but this is the first one that comes up when I searched about this issue. The fix is to stand right next to your dead allies and then use the bedroll. It won't work from far away. Don't think linking has anything to do with it, but I had the dead character linked too so I can't be sure. Cheers :)

is it/was it ever an issue? no wonder you didn't find any posts about it apart from someone 2 years ago who didn't understand a mechanic, and never even responded to their own thread.

I found the answer online in a different thread, out of several. Gift bag description doesn't specify you have to be near your dead allies, didn't think to try it since it usually heals everyone in the group at the same time & didn't feel like screwing around with it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ok, well thanks for your service to the community then, I guess you're the hero we all needed but no-one was asking for. I hope you posted the solution to all their problems on those "other online threads" you speak of. I'm sure they're all eternally grateful.
