NET core
Any way around net core? Or any way to run it on the current version or only on 3.1.0?

My guess is that the .net core requirement is for the stupid launcher. Try running "EoCApp.exe" under DefEd\bin directory with steam already running. Keep in mind that I have no idea if you face difficulties or not running the .exe directly.

I found that there was an installer under ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\DotNetCore: windowsdesktop-runtime-3.1.8-win-x64. After installing that it would start. After seeing that there's another launcher where you need another account :/ I prefer the method that Qoojo mentioned.
