how to kill captain sech zapor?

playing on tactician mode and finally got through a door with a face on it to encounter this captain but he and his crew are way too difficult to kill and have way too much health and armour! I've managed to do most other fights so far, even though i'm waiting to find a respec station cause i ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my builds a bit. I have a small amount left to do on the island but i don't wanna leave without killing him ofc. Any tips please?

You can drop his souljar on the floor and attack it to kill the captain, it will make it a bit easier to handle without the charm. His crew can be quite tough on their own, but without the charm aura from the captain its much more manageable. You can also teleport either the captain or one of his crew behind the mirror in the corner by the captains desk to get them stuck if you want a cheese-y solution.

ok, i found all the soul jars now, should i just destroy them all? It said something about them being useful!

You also should be waiting until right before you leave for the most part. You want to make sure you’re as close to level 8 as possible since he is also. Then check the vendors and get as many gear upgrades as possible. Don’t keep armor for more than 3 levels or weapons for more than one. Very few weapons you’ll have this early are good enough to justify using for multiple levels.

There are 4 in total. Hold all of them. Give Gritannia's back so you get the extra XP from it.

Save the Necromancer's until you fight them. Kill them all once and they will revive. The only way to Perma kill them is destroy their 3 Soul jars. The reason you want to fight and kill them once is for the extra XP (You only get it the one time). Once you kill the 3 the first time, 2nd fight, just break the 3 soul jars and you get XP again for freeing them.

With Zapor, you can either give it to him or break it. I don't remember which nets you the XP but either way youll get his set

you can just fully skip all fights and get the set without any problem too by going for the boots first at the abandon camp then go for the chestplate from the captain by destroying the soul jar before you open the chest and in the chest is the book you need for the door and in that chamber you can get the helmet (oke you will miss a little story here and there but the exp gain for a nearly unfair boss fight is just not worth it to waste your time on so if you want the set real quick then just go for the thing i sayed)

IIRC he is in a room at the end of a cave. Split the party and get them all set up back from the doorway. Get your toughest fighter close to the door and go through all the dialogue.

When the fight starts teleport him into the doorway and then start using attacks that either destroy his physical or magic armour depending on what sort of CC spells you have. Personally I always enjoy ripping Physical armour and then using Chicken Claw. Get your close in fighters right next to him so he is flanked and then use ranged fighters (mage or archer) to wear him down.

His crew mates will have to use AP to get close to you so just keep using as much CC as you can to keep them busy. Even if its just single target stuff like Knockdown or Cripple it will help.

There's an option to place a respec mirror in Fort Joy Arena if that's what is holding you back. This option comes with the Gift Bags. Watch out for achievements though.

If anyone has not mentioned fight can be super easy just but your tanky guy have him run to the door and you can just go in and out of the cave with full hp every time.
