Sebille origin quest (Fort Joy) stuck?
I searched for topics about it, seems like people have different conditions on being stuck in different chapters and a number of paths to work through most of the conditions.

sebille origin is my last quest i need to advance before the abandoned camp port fight

Stingtail is dead; Sebille talked to him before the fight and i remember taking his organge and giving it to Griff

Griff is still alive, and both the quest log and the map marker are showing that i need to talk to Griff with Sebille- but there are no dialogue options, it's either *see wares* or *take your leave*

i know some quests have been locked out just from advancing the plot too far like the wounded ppl dying in amadia, i guess it's possible for this to be a case of that but like i said, griff's still alive, gave him the stolen orange in exchange for his prisoner

so is sebille's story bricked or is there some way to get Griff to trigger dialogue?
maybe another way to pick up the quest later regardless of this part?
thanks!

Is she your character or a companion? If she is a companion, you might have to talk to Griff with someone else and she’ll trigger her thing then. Her next objective is related to the skeleton Zaleskar and if he died for some reason it might not allow the Griff objective to complete. I know you can skip the Zaleskar conversation by eating his shriveled heart, but I don’t know if it spawns in his inventory if Griff hasn’t sent you to him.

Either way, these are all optional objectives and aren’t requirements for the later objectives. You just won’t know what those later ones are until you stumble upon them.

Griff isn't really important, he only will tell her to talk to Zaleskar, the trader in Hollow Marshes.
Much more important for Sebilles quest is the Elf Saheila.
It doesn't matter if Griff stays alive. You can kill him for XP, or just let him there.

As Chaos said, the game tries to be very hard to brick. Just because you can't get direction from Griff doesn't mean you can't stumble on the next step regardless.

she's a companion, i just tried talking to Griff with my character, same problem

Zaleskar is still alive but i don't get dialogue options from him either, i'm guessing because Griff hasn't directed me to that point. in the interest of getting their exp and loot i'm thinking i kill them both and eat Zaleskar's heart before ending chapter

i'm trying to go through somewhat blind so i just wanted to make sure i haven't locked anyone out of their story quests- sounds like i can pick up the trail later on, we'll see

thanks again!

Yeah, you can’t really lock yourself out of quests in this game by missing things. Certain actions can, but just missing things won’t.
