Does weapon damage and skill damage stack
I know this is a very basic question, but I haven't been able to figure it out. The question pertains to any weapon, but for example. I have the "Peacekeeper" bow. It does 3-6 poison and 12-14 Physical damage. I also have the "Pin Down" skill which does 35-41 physical and 9-17 poison damage.

If Peacekeeper is equipped and I choose "Pin Down" do all of the stats mentioned stack. IOW, do I get the damage from both the weapon and the skill?

No. The skill damage has a built in modifier that is based off the base damage.

That being said, Warfare will scale both those damages better than anything else. It’s the single best skill to invest for any physical damage.

OK, so are you saying that the skill damage already has the weapon damage built into its stats? When I change weapons, I don't see the damage on the skill change.

The skill damage is based on the weapon being used. Take a Warfare skill for example, say Crippling blow. If you use a staff, the skill will deal whatever % its supposed to deal of the base weapon damage. So it'll be magic damage because of the staff being used. That's why there's the poison damage on your skill, it comes from the poison effect you had on it, or gained through crafting/runes or spell effects. I've actually had a weapon that dealt physical, air, water, earth, fire, poison AND physical damage all in one.

Point is, whatever weapon you have equipped will modify the damage you deal with skills. Skills will have their own % modifier, so some might deal 70% of the base damage but hit in an area or things like that. Pinning shot likely has a modifier of say 120%, so the extra AP you spend to use it goes into a slight damage increase and a cripple effect.

Not entirely on topic, but how did you manage to get a weapon that does all the damage types?
I'm curious, because that's something I'd like to have. I like mixing up my damages. Especially without a pratical way to swap weapons.
I imagine it has something to do with runes and those elusive enchantments I've heard about...

Venom Coating for poison, Firebrand for fire. The weapon itself had innate earth damage, a water rune and I crafted air onto it with an eternal artifact. The only leverage you get with getting all 5 is that it has to have both a rune slot and deal innate water or earth damage as you can't buff those two through any means other than a rune and you just get one of those. So the other has to be innate to the weapon itself.

I'll have to look for that then. Thanks!

The skill damage you see is already calculated from weapon damage and stats. Mouse over it while controlling other characters to see the difference.
