Devoured Armor. Please help.

So here’s the thing. I’ve collected every part of its set but my gloves won’t upgrade to lvl 20. I know why. I accidentally consumed one of the ghosts in fort joy and now I’m in arx and when I wear the whole set, these gloves seems to be apart of it, like, it says “you have the buff and everything but it’s only 4/5 set completed” like those gloves simply not working. So, is there any way to fix that issue? I’ve tried consuming all souls, consumed them in front of the dragon and nothing works. Yet, I didn’t try to kill the dragon, but I don’t think that will help.

I've only done the quest once, but if memory serves, the two ways to properly complete the armor set are to follow one of the ghosts into the Hall of Echoes where the dragon is, and then either consume all ghosts or kill the dragon. If you're able to reach the dragon, I assume killing the dragon will satisfactorily complete the quest, and I'd guess that consuming the remaining ghosts might accomplish this as well.

Even with 5/5 I think you need to kill the dragon to bump them to 20. I've only run through once since they came out, but I think that's how it works. I've read that they should bump to 18 or 19 though just by having all of them equipped before killing him, so the fact that yours isn't going up at all likely is being affected by the spirit you consumed.

Nah it didn’t work. Bugs bugs bugs dammit. Well that’s my price to pay for my carelessness. I killed the dragon and it didn’t work. My gloves are still lvl 8.

Potentially bugs. If you drained/consumed a spirit's source before the end encounter, that might intentionally cause that spirit's correlated armor piece to not fit properly with the rest of the set.
