Losing companions forever
Hi there. Is it true that you lose these companions forever if :

1. Lhose : you separate from her (even for moment). She says you've become "mortal ennemies" and, indeed, I can't seem to find her anymore ;

2. Beast and Sebille : if they're not with you when you set out to fight Alexander (even if they are waiting for you in Amadia's sanctuary) ?

I'm about to enter the last part of Act 1 and I want to keep all the companions for Act 2 but since I'm playing Fane and I need Ifan (his quest being to kill Alexander), if all of the above is correct that means I can't avoid losing at least one companion :-(

You can re-acquire companions you haven't made really mad at the ending piece of Act 1.
But i've found no way to really make a companion mad in act 1.

You cannot keep all of the companions for Act 2. You will be able to keep a maximum of 3 companions for Act 2.

Without mods, you lose whoever isn't actively in your party when you transition to act two (its after Alexander, you'll be on the ship). Pick your favorite 3.

I had only read that Beast and Sebille are lost forever if they aren't with you at the end of act 1. Do I have to understand that this actually applies to any companion. So I can"t, for example, temporarely ditch the Red Prince and Ifan and then pick up again the way I can do during act 1. If so, that's really a pity. I enjoy changing the party composition every now and then...

The party you leave act 1 with is your party, all other companions are unavailable after that point. This isn't like Pathfinder where your party members can be changed out whenever you want.

Nope, ALL companions not currently in your party when you switch acts are lost. If you dismissed them all and try to go through solo, every single one of them would be lost. You'll finish the Alexander fight and board the ship. Once you finish that ship session, you'll be prompted to continue. Once you move the ship, only the allies currently in your party will come with you. The others will be lost in the transition permanently. Be sure to clear their inventories of valuables and possibly even strip their gear and sell it off. It's all a loss otherwise.

There is an expended party size mod you could look into however. It'll let you recruit them all at that point, transition through the act change and then you can just disable it again or limit yourself to 4. You'll have to look into the script extender mod to turn on achievements again if you want them though.

it does not make sense, that's why I suggest to start the game and only recruit companions that you want to take with you. Just think about companion that you don't recruit as NPC that do not talk to you.
