What are gift bag features?
I clicked the button at random and it has a bunch of bonuses but there's no explanation about its systems. What are the downsides? Is there a limited number of points to distribute? The screen has no info.

They're mods that the creators added to the base game. Up to you if you use them. I think most or all of them disable achievements unless you otherwise change the game to allow for it, I don't know much about how that works.

Some are free updates like the relics armor quests. The rest are community mods adapted and integrated into the game for use primarily for console players. You can activate as many as you like on the ESC menu. Bear in mind that you may not like them once active and they can’t be deactivated. Make a new save to activate them on and decide if you like them before continuing further than you’re willing to revert back.

If you want, pick which ones you’re interested in and the community here can give you feedback on them to help you decide if you want to use it. The inventory sorting one for instance tends to be more work than it’s worth given how complicated it can be to use containers in the game for storage. Many people don’t like that one after activating it. Some are cheats, some are quality of life changes and some are additions that may or may not be balanced.

Gotcha. I don't think I'll be messing with them without getting to know the game first. I was confused because it looked like a part of the game but with no currency to spend. Thanks.

On the subject of gift bags, is there a way to still get achievements while using them? I've always been curious about that.

Same as usual mods. Gotta go search the Nexus for the tool to reenable them.
