well.. in game a lot of the signs are the same symbols and the subtitles are for whatever local area you are in (driftwood/fort joy bridge warnings, etc). That leads me to think that a lot of it is just meaningless and used for arts sake, but it may be that at first they were intended to convey meaning, but during development, for whatever reason, some graphical assets were reused without consideration as to the fact the runes meant something at some point.

But I don't know that. Seeing the same stuff around with different descriptions in English despite being clearly the same runes I'd seen somewhere earlier, had, for me at least, dissuaded me from trying to figure out what the runes meant.

They sort of look like old nordic runes in some cases upside down and backwards, but hey I am no expert of fictional game language mechanics. But once upon a time, I could read those runes in the Ultima series without needing to refer to the rune-to-letter translation guides, so I am at least geeky.
This same language can be found in many different places in dos1, i really really really think theres a meaning on those symbols even if just something trivial. . .well but still, im sure im not smart enough to translate that, I guess the only chance to be sure in contacting someone from larian ... i will hardly be successful on my quest. . . but obsession is something complicated xD , i got to try. . .somehow...
