What's the difference in the colour of the health bars in the party?
Some of my party have purple health bars, and some of my party have red health bars. The colour doesn't change if the characters are at full health or about to die. Does anyone know the difference in the colours?

Purple means theyre afflicted with some sort of status effect, I believe, like poison, burning, etc.

Try curing them of any status effects and see if that makes it change back to red? If not, maybe just need to reload the game or something

First check ur buffs/debuffs on the character with purple healthbar, if u have a debuff (thats what makes it purple) then hover the mouse over the debuff and see what kind of debuff it is, like burn dot, can be removed with water (rain, freeze, ehh blood rain, probably some more i cant remember) or normal healing. if u hover over and find one like poison, it will say something like what it can be removed with if im not mistaken.

There is a piece of gear that give u permanent debuff (purple) tyrants helm or gear or something, check ur gear if it have any debuffs (like permanent burn, or stuff like that)

Red is normal hp (no debuffs like burning, poison etc) but theres also been some ppl mentioning a permanent debuff (health draining) bug, so could be that if none of the others are in effect, if thats the case try reload from last save.
