Grenade scaling ?
Me and my brother started definitive edition coop mode and my character is a ranger with utility. I like crafting arrows and grenades and saving his wizardass from tough situations. The thing is, I know my arrows scale with finesse but what about grenades. I know they were a bit of a letdown in normal edition but did they get any changes at all ?

The most basic firestorm have decent damage, but a simple fireball is better. You might not always have a frost skill available, or just water balloon+ice grenade/storm grenade. It's cooldownless skills that doesn't use memory, in a way. It eats a whole lot of inventory weight However.

"Grenade damage / heal will scale with your current level."

thank you but the link is for the normal version and is old.

The core mechanics haven't really changed between editions, so that link is still accurate. They did patch it so that they also scale with points in the appropriate elemental school, so a Firestorm Grenade will be boosted by points in a character's Pyrokinetic skill for example.

oh but isn't it weird that a mage can use grenades more efficently ?

Get the talent, steal everyone in the game so you can afford a few good grenades, and throw 4 per turn, gg. Also your economy will be death. Just use the grenades when you grab or craft them, dont think about it too much, if you have a talent to spare and a toon without offhand, use that, its quite usefull, but dont overthink it, the devs didnt think much in that aspect of the game, spent weeks trying to make a consumables build, it just doesnt work as you might want to.

Oh thank you then. Guess my sneaky ranger utility build is not what i hoped it is:steamsalty: Also learning guerilla and assassinate skill doesn't stack was a big blow for my build. Thanks to Larian for putting that mirror in the game :steamhappy:

As stated. The link is still valid. Don't think the Definitive Edition as a new game; it isn't. Think of it as a huge balance patch.

And as Imyo stated. I too tried to make a mage/rogue consumables build. And it did not work.
Consumables are an afterthought. "Damn I won't have enough AP this turn to create a water surface then freeze/shock it. BUT I can use this water balloon and freeze/shock it!"

I ended up making a Jack of All Trades; Utility of all type mage. Who used lots of consumables to make up for his weaknesses.
