I think that regardless of the new bugs DE is still the better way of the two to experience original sin 2. I just hope they patch this stuff out sooner rather than later since having more visual glitches does make the definitive edition seem a bit less definitive
There is no fallback for the clothing without physics; just turning it off would look even worse than it already is, developing animations for the clothing against the movement animations is a non-starter, and switching back to the old physics engine would take too much work.
I haven't heard of any problems with the console versions, so the PC version of the physics engine they're using now is probably just broken. They are aware of the problem, and they will fix it. It's just not as urgent because there it is not game breaking, and players can fall back on classic.
Just looks like such an obvious and jarring visual glitch, it's especially bad to see it since character creation itself and I have to say it left me feeling really disappointed considering I waited very long to finally play it with a friend of mine.
I really hope they fix it soon, if they even plan on it.
