Game Crashing when using Shackles of Pain

I am currently playing an Undead Retribution Fighter and i use Necromancy to give myself an edge, however every time i use Shackles of Pain on an enemy the game will crash the next time they attack me. It is a big problem because that spell is very useful for my build. Does somebody know how to fix it?
