I have the note, the quest log says Ifan shall go and talk to Zaleskar, but he just desn´t, so i reloaded a way older save and everything works fine, first Sebille talkes to him than Ifan and everythings fine. In both cases the quest log is saying the exact same thing but it just don´t work if Ifan didn´t talk to borris.
Although, it isn´t realy a major thing, it does heavily weight on my insentive to play further. I can either redo the last 5 houers or just give a crap on that crossbow, that i absolutly should get.
It´s just anoying and around for a while now. I hope they fix the bug and don´t just go Bethesda on it...
The only bad thing is that you miss a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good crossbow (like, REALLY good). So, your choice.
At the end I have a small cross bow once its restrung and the one Ifan was supposed to get.
This my first play through and I've not seen any videos about any of this. I tried the arena. got toasted. To get to Zaleskar, I did a long envolved sneak twlwport sneak lock pick the castle door and then fast travel via the way point. My guys are only lvl 3 and dont work too well together.
It's not a bug, it's just an unfortunate consequence of triggerng magister hostility before Ifan talks to Borris.
It's quite logical: Ifan didn't talk to Borris so he doesn't know that he needs to ask Zaleskar for the weapon. Borris won't talk to Ifan once he's committed a 'crime' (like leaving the fort or removing your collar).
No, it's definitely a bug. You can find a note on borris corpse, saying that you need to go talk to Zaleskar. I did that once and Zaleskar wouldn't talk to me.
Cheers
