"The One" Arena quest....I killed the tinkerer earlier :/

I just finished the arena quest and NPC told me to go talk to the tinkerer to get collared removed, problem is that I killed that girl earlier when she caught me stealing her skill books. Am I screwered or is there a way to get those collars removed some other way? I pretty much killed all the NPCs and Majesters in Fort Joy :( I really should have waited to finish these quests before killing every NPC in Fort Joy.

There's another way to have them removed, and failing that too, they'll be removed at the end of the Act regardless.
