The pawn
free movement seems pretty strong. is it worth putting a point into scoundrel for this if your character otherwise doesn't use scoundrel skills at all? finding myself having to move just a little bit to get into melee range fairly often.

oh and also, tanks aren't a thing in this game are they?

I dont know about putting a point into scoundrel just for The Pawn but it did really help me out when i built for scoundrel getting a free 8.5 meters of movement every round.

As for tanks there sort of is if you build warfare with a Sword & Board. You can get an ability to taunt and another redirect damage from nearby party members to them.

The pawn is quite useful and it is worth throwing a point in Scoundrel for it. With one point in Scoundrel, you can grab Adrenaline, which is a decent skill for any character. I feel Executioner is better in a lot of cases though.

Tanking is not really worthwhile to try, IMHO. For best results, take the Glass Cannon talent. Then all of the enemies will target your tank relentlessly... but you will need to give yourself extra protection of some sort to avoid being CCed constantly.

It's 100% worth it, for pawn and adrealine only.
You should probably put a point here as fast as you can. even with tank and mages.
I'm not a big fan of executionner with melee classes, you don't kill as much in tactical, at least not every turn, while pawn is active every turn.

Get executionner for ranger though, it makes them killing machines.
But hey, even my ranger ended up putting 1 point in soundrel for adrealine skill, that's one of the best skill in the game, just for 1 point.
And you can have one additonnal teleport on top of that.

As for mage, it depends if they are full DPS like ranger or support.
Mine was summoner / support: so pawn.

tanking in the keep aggro sense definitely doesn't seem worth it no.

i did read a bit about a warfare/hydro/geo build focussed on buffing armor to allies and CCing, that way you kinda get to have the protecting allies part of a tank. and you even get to have a shield. might try that.

with adrenaline and pawn I think it can make you very mobile, no?

I always like putting a point in huntsman for the retreat ability, jump plus haste so essentially free but may be more then a point because I always played with lone wolf, and of course polymorph for the wings.

Tanks aren't worth it. You're much better off with damage focused characters. Even dedicated healers aren't worth it. You want sustainability on everyone so you never need a heal when the healer's turn is still a few away.

Scoundrel is worth having on most characters for the mobility and crit multiplier. So one point to also use The Pawn and adrenaline, even chloroform can be worthwhile.

yes. but. be aware pawn (first move costs zero movement points) and executioner (+2 movement points upon killing mob, once per turn) are incompatible.
