Need some advice regarding necromancer scaling
hey guys, i'm running a ranger and a necro/cleric build... they work well together because i can use buffs from fortify to armor of frost and mend metal plus soothing cold to buff my ranger if i need to, my dps with the crossbow is absurd, 2shots on enemies on tactician with lone wolf..

my question is..necro scale with inteligence right? so if i wanna use a shield and a wand (shield to have acess to boucing shield and deflective barrier) it's better than a shield and a one hand sword?

i have warfare max out too and necro and hydro on 4...my playstyle is usually get rid of armor pretty quick with my ranger (when not killing the enemy with 2 shots :d) and then using necro spells plus healing spells to damage the enemies without armor.. using corpse explosion after to finish the rest..

Yep, necromancy dmg scales with int and warfare. Best weapons for a LW necro are actually 2 handed swords.

Look up sintee's guides on Steam instead. They are slightly outdated but still far more optimal than fextralife's.
Not really, no. Magic damage from wands wouldn't be that useful to you. So, even though the melee weapon won't get direct scaling, you probably won't be attacking with the weapon directly. You'll be better with melee for using the Warfare skills just for the knockdowns and such.
yeah, i'm thinking of trying some other build.. maybe magic.. because beast is my jack of all trades and ifan will be a ranger always...i was thinking then try some pyro hand/shield, so i have more armor and then i could buff my ranger if i need to.. gonna try some combinations to see,, thanks for the feedback guys
You need to max your Intelligence and warfare asap. You need onyl 3 points in Necromancer for your skills. 2 in pyro (Peace of Mind and Corpse Explosion/Mass corpse explosion), 3 in hydo (for Bloodstorm) and 5 in Polymorph by the time you reach lvl 16 (Chameleon Cloak,Skin Graft, Apotheosis) ,2 in Aero for Teleport/Swap Evade.
The reason why Warfare is so good is because its a multiplicative damage bonus.
You will deal so much damage you barely need CC at all. (Corpse Explosion, Teleport /Swap Corpses, Teleport will also start to deal reasonable damage as is scales from Warfare as well)

hey. i'm trying this build, int and warfare max already, hydro i put 4 points for now just to get more armor from frost armor... but will tone down later.. polymorph i'm not using right now but maybe i'll change grasp of the starve for it and use chameleon cloak, my ranger it's not using cloak too but i will,,,

it's a free turn right? i can use skin graft and chameleon to reset all cooldowns and still do damage, gonna do that with ranger too, i can probably kill anything with 2 cooldown resets and free turns, or at least kill the more menacing enemies and deal with the weaker ones last.
