Bloodmoon island. Taming of the Holy fire.
I do NOT have a character with a Scholar tag. Any way to get someone to read the book if I don't have the scholar tag? Cannot progress regardless unless someone else knows the phrase for the 3 vaults.

No. Without Scholar you cannot decipher the book and learn the password into the vaults.

Is there a mod that allows you to change tags on Main Characters? A cheat mod that I can use for just this one thing? Anyone?

Answer to my post:

Using CheatCommander I can give my character the tag required for the book.

Yeah, that can work. I always play a custom with scholar for this reason.

But then you lose out on the Origin characters XP from their storyline.

And? The amount of experience you lose out on is insignificant. You don't need every tiny bit of experience to progress. Not to mention that I already do things like act two backwards by going to the level 15 areas at level 9....

You didn't improve.

You experienced a hollow victory.
Nothing was risked and nothing was gained.

It's sad that you don't know the difference."

I dunno if you are just being a meme but I cannot actually do the questline on Bloodmoon Island if I do not have the Scholar tag. I have put, oh, so much time in DOS2 that I completed a For Honor run on Xbox with a friend. If I am forced to cheat to experience a part of the game that I cannot experience otherwise I will.

Mercs you can buy from the Lady Vengeance do not have tags besides racial and gender. Me and my friend are playing Lohse and Ifan. Both do not have the tag.

I thought an Elf character can also innately read the book. Is that not the case?
Jack The Ripper Jun 17, 2020 @ 10:51pm
No one provided the info so I was unaware of that fact. Unless merc elves don't have it anyway

Not something that I'm aware of being a thing.
