So im on a Honor Run now after getting a feel for the game. Are there any instant death options i should be careful of?

like if i tick off the wrong guy does he drop a deathfog barrel on my head kinda things?

There's a couple of traps in the Imp area in Act III that can lead to party wipes. The witch battle in Driftwood can result in a wipe if you aren't careful. Getting Hannag pissed off at you can also result in a pretty easy wipe. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Stay away from any lava pools (early on, Hannag can cast it on you should you choose to fight her), that's instant death on any difficulty for any party member (undead, if you travel with Fane or play as one are immune to Deathfog but not to lava pools, for example), and you cannot ressurect party members unless u move the body with teleportation before attempting ressurection (which sucks when the party member with teleportation is the one to die in lava pool).

Avoid the undead ferry guy unless you’re undead yourself. Though honestly all of these can be avoided by creating a party where you always have one party member engage from stealth outside combat. Leave one character behind everywhere you go so if you end up in a tight spot you have a way out. The majority of act two’s wipe spots are in the northwest cloisterwood area. Some deathfog moments in act four too.

Great reason to keep the teleport gloves from act one. They don’t sell for enough to worry about and having the quick access to teleport on any character is worth hanging onto them.

Trolls can also one hit kill you if you are too low level shoudl you attempt to fight them early one. I mean, All-In just wrecks you :D I just decided to leave them be since fighting either of them upset my companions :)

I sold mine, not that I really ever needed two people with teleport spell, but I'm on my 2nd playthrough, and kinda recall where i need to be caustious. Definitely agree - worth keeping for the long run during first time playing through the game.

Also, having someone have Wings (polymorph skill) or Phoenix flight (warfare skill) or Tactical Retreat (huntmas skill) will benefit greatly when escaping Nameless Isle, no further spoiler but those can be super handy getting around dangerous spots in the Academy
