Act 4 is really wearing my enthusiasm down
I'm enjoying myself less and less in Act 4, feeling everything is very very linear as well as enemies having very annoying maddening abilities as well as being overall higher level than main characters.

I'm nowhere close to hating the game, but it's really starting to tick me off. Any tips to get me to the end as fast as possible with least amount of hassle? My main in a party of 4 is a 2H warrior/necromancer. The rest is 1 ranged and 2 magic users.

act 4 is as open as act 1 and 3 imo.The only act bigger than those is act 2.There's a good 2 handed weapon you can steal from some statue in a chapel, the best one in the game I think. Also buy green tea leaves from lord kemm's wife in their house and make green tea.If that doesn't win you every fight then your builds might be really bad or you are really underleveled.

I´ve noticed that act 4 spikes up the difficulty the most from all the acts in my playthroughs, I usually never struggle in the game but the first few battles in Arx are a headache, the kraken and the voidwoken on the bridge especially. There are some good quests you can do in arx that dont require you to do pretty much anything and get really good stuff out of it.

I´ll spoil here a bit - There is a lady that can give you up to 150 k gold if you have some persuassion, which will allow you to get divine gear on your characters from the various shopkeepers in the district, which by itself is already a huge boost if you rune it all up. You can also snatch the deathfog crates in the sewers and insta win any battle with them in the game from then on pretty much, unless the enemies are undead which they wont be in arx for the most part.

If all else fails just change your party to two people and spec into lone wolf I guess.

If you wanna finish the game fast you should at least do a couple quests to be level 19 at the very least and then just do the main quest, you do not have to do any of the optional stuff around the city, just focus on finding Dallis and dealing with Kemm.

I guess I never got the green tea to work right then...I ate it and I didnt notice any effect.

Ok so having finished a playthrough..is there actually q eust for the Kraken? I just went and started a fight as the very last thing I did before the "main event", but I had no quest, and he really didnt even die just sort of slithered away.

I guess I still need skill improvement because for that fight I was level 20 and wished I had a way to be 21. It took me several tries, and I think I got a little lucky finally to win.

It's the strongest thing in the entire game lol, most players consider it cheating which tbh it kinda is if you have good builds, without good builds anything you use is bad at that point.

It reduces the ap cost on every single ability you use by 2 and also lasts like 3 turns, maybe u used a different tea.

I got to say as my first playthrough Act 4 got also for me a difficulty spike, some fights i had to retry a few times (yeah i save my game pretty often and try to save before events i anticipate to happen, and i keep a save game of major fights, once in a while i love to replay them) A few fights in Act 4 had me to rethink my approach, and so far, which i didn't had much before act 4, adjust skills in my bars according to some fights, before Act 4, the setup i had got me through most of them. The Kraken i had to try another avenue, the fight with the voidwoker once crossing the brdige was also tricky a bit, had to learn new skills for it, but so far i was able to go through, though as playing this in Tactician, i'm getting mroe and more worried for the last few fights. :)
But i admit, that, i use CCs a lot and mobility skills.

You have to brew it into tea in the tea pot next to the lady you buy it from.

Getting to the town will not be super easy, and of course don't try to fight the kraken right away. That's a level 20 enemy if you want to play it safe.

Ah. I just ate the leaves.

Another thing I failed at....making skillbooks. No combo I ever tried worked. I carried a bunch of empty skillbooks through the whole game.
