Growing in Buckets without Mod, posible?
Hi big family.
My question is quite easy. Event though i have the definitive edition, i don't want to activate the mods until my 2 run.
The thing is... I know that there is the mod GARDENER bla bla bla, but, CAN I grow/cultivate anything without this mod? Is there a way to grow plants/herbs without activating the mod?

I really want to grow and cultivate, but in my 1 run, i want to do Archievments.

Ty comunity :D

I would highly recommend your first playthrough to be with Gift Bag mods enabled. Just don't use the Combat Randomizer one.

I hear some people recomending to play with the Gift Bag, but then, you can forget about archivments. I'm not the best player, that is for sure, still, i would like to get them.

Using the bag straigh away, feels like in old times cheating, thats why i wanna try without it ^^
( i also read about the randomizer being useless xD )

What makes me kinda sad, is that this game, is incredible BIG. Still, when looking for info and wikis, it's quite empty, feels like the comunity didnt care enough about it.

Thanks for you answer, but ill wait to try to find the one im looking for :D

Quite literally, every gift bag mod is going to imbalance the game, if just slightly. The herb growing one is little more than a duplication cheat with a little fancy interaction. You don’t plant a garden and slowly gather herbs over time, you just spam craft herbs with wooden buckets and place them on the ground, collecting the product a few seconds later. Most herbs don’t work with it and the ones that do break the games balance pretty hard.

I don’t recommend using any of the gift bag mods if you want to keep the intended difficulty and balance intact.

I also recommend using gift bags first run, but not the gardening one, because it essentially gives you infinite money and not even really at a slow pace - about an hour and you'll have more money than you can even hope to spend.
The others though, like Pet Pal that lets you use infusions on all summons, and the one that lets you talk to animals, and the fort joy magic mirror, etc, are all great to have - unless you care about achievements, because you can't earn achievements while gift bags are active

You guys realize that it's up to the player to not abuse the gardening? It's helpful in a pinch for gold when you're just shy of being able to afford an upgrade. It's also perfect for using Sourceress Sundries. If I want to spend an hour gardening to upgrade my gear with Sourceress Sundries that seems like a fair tradeoff.

Like I said before, I highly recommend using the gift bag mods for your first playthrough, to ease the experience of the game.. and then doing a vanilla playthrough the second time you play.

Without using the free Pet Pal or Infinite Spirit Vision a first time player could miss out on a large chunk of the games content. Which is why I recommend just diving into them for the first run.

Another thing to note, if you're going to be achievement hunting.. forget nailing them all in the first run. You're going to have to do multiple playthroughs to get them.. and that takes hundreds of hours for a digital pat on the back.
