Whats wrong with the blind seeker elf?
Though if I’m not mistaken, her method of increasing your source is to draw upon the elf ancestor trees. It’s about equal to what Ryker is making you do without it being very obvious.
You’ve probably talked to her in act four after agreeing to help her in act three hmm? If so, you should know what she’s really like.
This game actively lies and misleads you. It actively tries to deceive you and control what you think about things and hide the grey areas surrounding them. You should always question everything and trust nothing. I guarantee that no matter how careful you try to be, you will end up believing at least one lie the game tells you.
Let's go over each source teacher, spoilers of course.
Ryker: Obviously evil. He raises and enslaves dead souls. He tasks you with getting a tablet from the blackpits. When he unlocks your source point, he sacrifices 3 living people to do so
Advocate: Demon, and demons are unilaterally evil. When he unlocks your source point, I think he's using the souls the demon he serves has enslaved. He does so for free but asks you to kill the blackring surrounding the giant tree nearby afterwards.
Mordus: Evil, but probably only because he is blinded by power based on his epilogue. He gives you a voidwoken heart to eat to unlock your source point, which I guess is pretty low on the evil scale of methods for unlocking source points. You can choose to kill him after he gives it to you as well.
Hannag: She's as evil as the scientists who developed the nuclear bomb, make of that as you will. If you fight her, she decides to become sworn but I think she's not sworn until that moment. She tasks you to save her apprentice in the black pits. IIRC she uses the lives of nearby animals to unlock your source point.
Jahan: Demon hunter. Probably the least evil/most good on this list. Tasks you with killing the advocate. He sacrifices two demons to unlock your source point. He then goes on to chase after the advocate's master.
Almira: Ex black ring succubus. Probably was evil but trying to turn over a new leaf. She just wants to live with her new lover in peace. She asks you to get him to safety which you can do two ways, escort him out of the zone or kill the nearby voidwoken causing the decay in the area so he can be healed. I think she just shares her source with you to unlock your source point. Also she is sworn and is one of the three npcs you can give one of the two swornbreakers to free her (there is an exploit to free her and keep the swornbreaker though). She joins you on the boat if you complete her quest.
Saheila: Elf seer. She's not evil at the time but she gets more insane over the course of the game and ends up wanting to kill all the other races so elves rule. She connects you to the elven roots to unlock your source point which is pretty not evil.
Finally, Malady. She will only unlock source points for you if you exhaust all the other options and still don't have 3 points or the location of the island. She's half demon and has some kind of binding deal she is seeking to break from which is why she is supporting you becoming divine, so she has a super powerful ally that can help with that. If she has to unlock your source points, she ends up dying later.
