Is there fire enchantment?
I saw the recipe for fire enchantment on wiki. It says you can use oil source with your weapon on a campfire to have additional fire damage. Does this recipe really work?

I saw the same thing, and it didn't work for me either. The comment section for that page is also full of people saying it doesn't work. The lesson: wikis are full of incorrect information, so take it with a grain of salt.
Theres some skills that let your weapons do bonus fire dmg, and one that lets you even hit nearby enemies with a single swing. Never made much use of it though

I've done it in game previously so there might be something you're doing wrong. Will go in game and post a screenshot if you want me to.

I was surprised when I first did it. Though I don't remember needing oil. Maybe try just campfire + weapon?

Woah, I've tried it but it never worked, this is some sourcery.

Man, I've been trying everything and it absolutely does not work for me. Ranged weapons, melee weapons, with or without native elemental damage, campfires, cooking stations, ovens, oil barrels, oil flasks...

Nothing works. I really have no idea.

have you put any mods in?

No, I'm currently playing without any outside mods or even gift bag mods.

You have to apply it to a weapon with no bonus stats.

I have tried. I even tried using the exact same weapon shown in the screenshots above, and it doesn't work. I googled this, and lots of comment sections were full of people saying the same thing.

TBH it really doesn't matter.. you don't want to put elements on your weapons anyways. You'll eventually come across an enemy that regens HP when you hit them with that element.

Or say you fight a troll that requires to be set on fire to stop it from regening HP, water damage will put the burning status out.

You should be focusing on either physical or magic damage, not both. At end game you can throw some shock damage on your weapons with Eternal Artefacts and that is pretty much the only time I'd recommend it.

I disagree entirely. The amount of times the enemy heals versus how many times they don't is significant and if you build properly, you can make pretty effective hybrid damage builds so you can run a 2/2 team that can switch to 2/4 magic focus on the spot. They're crazy effective when used properly alongside mages.

This is why you don't ever have just a single elemental weapon. It only costs 1 AP to switch weapons in combat.
