Blood Rose Attar

So I saw in a few places the recipe for Blood Rose Attar, but I've tried with all manner of empty bottles in my inventory and its not working did they remove them? I can't seem to find anything about it, if they did or if the recipe changed. Any help is appreciated.

The receipt should be "Blood Rose + Empty Potion bottle = Blood Rose". However, there are different versions of roses in Fort Joy. Small hint: The right one is in the possession of a witch.

But it is only one on the island, or is it?.. Please add some more of those juicy roses

There used to be three, one in the cellar of Fort Joy next to the Flenser, and two in the witches cave (One you looted off her and one near her growing in the corpses)

This was changed with the last update though and all but the one she personally carries are simply 'roses' now not blood roses.
