Act 3 Merchants have terrible equipment.
I don't understand it, all of the merchants have like 1-3 pieces of divine, and a whole bunch of generic crap. Why? Where can I find some more equipment for sale, I've got Tarq and Almira, anyone else? Jahan seems to just be...gone, didn't show up in the pilgrim camp, hoping he will be in the prison.

There are a handful of merchants at the elven shrine area, though be careful how you handle the area as it is possible to make them hostile. There aren't many others, but the act spans literally like one level up, so you shouldn't need to upgrade often.

The act is like a solid 20 hours of play between all of the paladin stuff, adremalikh stuff, justinia stuff.

Yeah, but you should be there early level 17, late level 16 and leave at 18. Though the more you talk about it, the more it sounds like act 4/Arx. So unless the nameless isle (act 3) is gone or something as of the DE... Which I admit I've yet to play enough to reach since the DE, I'm pretty sure you're talking about act 4. You have to get into the city for the other merchants. Thought there is a lack of sufficient merchants in act four as well.

I'm sure he means act 4; the merchants there are terrible.

reading through, it sounds like you're talking about act 4.

There's merchants inside the city around the arx city square

there's merchants by the cathedral down by the water

A lot of the named "boss" NPCs sell some pretty nifty stuff.

There's also a boatload of uniques literally just lying around the quest areas.

That isn't act 4. That is act 3. Nameless Isle isn't Act 3, it is 2.5. I've never heard people call this act 4. Nameless Isle is not nearly enough to be it's own act, you can get through it in 20 mins if you want.

Eh, regardless of how long it is, there is no reason to designate it as a half act. Short or not, sequentially its the third.

This. I love the nameless isle: quests are clear, and there's a lot of exploration; also you get a ton of xp there; I was lvl 15 (needed 400k to get to 16 and finished at lvl 18)

One of my favourite parts of the game. I wish Arx wasn't so rough - there's no point getting into a good build in Arx as there are only a few fights there, so you never really get to have fun with 18-21 lvl builds
