Is this game fun singleplayer?
Or is it really more coop focused or do you need friends to play to experience the full game?

This game is very fun in single player. Coop is nice but not in the least required to enjoy the story and the characters.

I'm enjoying myself in solo play. I don't have to worry about pacing or w/e and can enjoy frequent breaks to handle the dogs etc. I think you'll find that it works just fine in solo play.

This is a single player game with an optional coop feature - each has its benefits but to experience the game and story at their best, you should play singleplayer.

Absolutely, you dont need multiplayer to enjoy the game itself. The multiplayer just makes it a bit more enjoyable.

Eventually, you might prefer solo to co-op like I do. Can't control my teammate's builds in co-op. And my builds are better XD

I prefer it in single player. I can go at my own pace, which is usually too slow for most everyone else. I like having more control over equipment, level up allocations and general build composition.

Co-OP is fun but it's more lighthearted in that you just play wonky builds and mess with one another. I have yet to meet anyone who stuck with me to the end of fort joy, let alone the whole game.

Single player is to way to go for me personally, I like to be able to immerse myself in the world, take my time, build my characters the way I want to build them without having to be on someone else's schedule or having to answer to them.

Co-op is nice, but unless you're playing with a sibling, spouse, or a close friend who's really dedicated to seeing the game though with you to the end, you'll probably just end up being dropped or wanting to drop the other player.

This game is a full single player experience in its own right. In co-op you will be playing trough the same story, alltough your paths may be different. For example your friend may need to find a different way into an area where you are just allowed in.

Co-op vs single-player is a matter of taste. You can experience the full story and gameplay both ways.
