the lost daughter

i met a woman who told me she can't find her daughter anymore .. i think she said the daughter disappeared. on the journal i don't have trace of this quest so i don't know what to do..

It is nothing more than a little athmosphere - so no quest. Talk to the old, grumpy man just beside her. He´ll tell you that the daughter is long dead and hasn´t even reached fort joy.

It used to pop up in the journal, but seeing as how players mistakenly think the journal is a quest log, and they never really added enough other bits like this to justify these things being part of it, it was removed from the journal.

In the end, it’s not anything you can help with.

This is a very weird interaction because it definitely does feel like it's a quest (the NPC giving you the doll and all), but yeah, it's basically a red herring. Might have been something that was intended to be a quest at some point but was cut out.

Eh, She doesn't like lizards being around, but its more because her daughter is scared of them. I don't really think its racism though. There are many others in the game that are.
