Controller vs Keyboard/mouse
Controller just seems SO MUCH EASIER, but the UI for the K/M is SO MUCH BETTER.

Anyone else wish you could just alternate while in game??

Like Id use all the menus with the mouse, maybe decide to open said menus with the keyboard... But there so many little things that work better with a controller. For instance, camera movements, party splitting, picking things up, searching the area doesnt even seem to be available with k/m. Tooltips only last long enough to see theres something near by but then you spend 3 hours trying to pick up half a pixil worth of gold coin on the ground.

To be fair i learned how to play with a controller so i guess im ...slightly biased.

/end rant.

Been playing Divinity Original Sin 1&2 with mouse and keyboard. Always has been my go-to for non-fighting games but the option seems nice. It would be nice to get dev input on it

It plays well with a controller I must say, with the DE changes to controller, it's quite on par with M/k
Controller is great except when you are trying to pick up items lol. Still I prefer it over keyboard.

Oh, you can hold A, and it will show you a list of the items surrounding you
Or you could hold Alt on the keyboard and itl show you everything on the ground around you, and you can hover over it to look at its stats before picking it up.

I, too find advantages to both systems. (Holding down "A" to show items is not nearly as efficient as the alt key; controller is much easier on the wrists; etc.) Luckily, you CAN switch over, but you have to restart. Save your game, then use the other device to start playing from where you left off. For example: explore a given area with K/M, save, then play the save with the controller. Unfortunately, I don't think it can be done without saving and then reloading.

Yeah, i hate having to exit the game in order to switch. I know it'd be an @$$ to code, but i feel like skyrim and witcher will let you interchange during the game, but in those cases the UI is still the same, only the reference buttons/keys change. I'd be good with the keyboard ui, but using a controller. One day maybe there'll be a mod maybe? doubt it. but a girl can dream.

It changes a lot of the UI, that's mainly why Larian opted so that it couldn't be changed mid game.

It's very unlikely that they'll mod this, the UI is very hardcoded, it can't be changed.
