Custom Character creation
Hello,

My main character and my party companions are all Origin characters but today by pure curiosity I wanted to check what the 'Custom' character is all about in DOS 2. So I started a new game and created a Human Ranger.

During my character's creation process, I was surprised to see that the Civil Abilities are not entirely 'custom'. Under Civil Abilities > Personality, I received 2 points: 1 Bartering and 1 Lucky Charm. Lucky Charm can be redistributed but Bartering is fixed. I would prefer to give my main, one point to Persuasion instead of Bartering (which I would give later to another party member)

I am curious to understand what may be the logic behind no giving the player the choice to distribute the Personality points of the main character the way he/she prefers?

Unfortunately the personality points at the start are tied race
I completely agree with you though. It's frustrating having a random point stuck in a skill that a character wont use.

You didn't receive 2 Civil Ability points. You received 1 Civil Ability point. The other one comes from your race selection and is fixed. Humans get Bartering, Elves get Loremaster, Lizards get Persuasion, Dwarves get Sneaking.

Don't worry about the racial bonus point, at best it gives you a leg up if it matches what you want, but it's not game-breaking to not have the synergy.

Not game-breaking at all. I was not worried only curious.

Thanks for the explanation.
