Yes, but *should* you break them??
Though one of those jars you might find use of later...
for the 3 necromancers they are in the braxus rex tower where the gargolye maze is if you destroy them there when fighting the necromancers you get additional exp because your in combat.
for gratiana just give her the soul jar to have a good attitude exp gain (i think choice of a reward too).
for the captain only if you want to get the full set he can provide with out fighting anyone (they wont give or just a little 25 exp after fighting) do boots first that is top right at the abandom camp.
then go for the cursed circel at the beach (next to the entrance for the cave where you find trompdoy where you have to jump over to the otherside) you do need bless otherwise you cant remove the curse from the circel but before you bless it destroy the soul jar from the captain so that he wont spawn enemy skeletons that wont provide any exp and he just jump out of the chest dead all ready to have his chestplate been taken from him and do loot the chest where the book is that you need to read for the code for the ships door.
and for the helmet that is at the broken ship where you need to read the book to be able to open the ships door that is in a cave close to the winter dragon below the abandom camp.
if this actauly spoilet alot for you im sorry for placing it here but this might help other people for when they have the same question.
yes. you need to borrow beast into your party to open a door, but its near a waypoint and there isn't a fight there (if you broke the jar) so its a 2 min aggravation. I actually find this the 'best path' for that quest: the other paths require persuade skill to be high or to fight a couple of unrewarding fights (not much loot or xp but fairly difficult).
BTW the 3 necros are a pain, the jars resist breaking in combat, you have a short window to break them or you just have to fight them over and over (think D&D lich fights).
