Normally those masters would give you a book if you fulfil their request while already being at max power, so I guess that's her recompense from saving her earlier. As for the quest still being open? Not much you can do in that scenario, really.
As for civil skills, each character should only pick one and stick to it. Don't try to juggle multiple at once, it never works. Each character gets just one civil skill and you stack it up to keep it relevant. Thievery and barter being two you can swap out as needed.
As for Source Points - I've already finished enough quests to gather 3 of those.
Yeah, I believe Mr. Rince was implemented as a real munchkin with bloodlust at his very heart!
I even teleported Oils onto our platform [*sick*] just to make him happy! Otherwise he was running away.
But I'm done with that quest. And while I regret that he couln't unite with his family, I think the burden of this sin is on devs, not on me :)
