Yes, you do have to kill Advocate to advance Lohse's quest because Jahan won't do his exsorcism woodoo without Advocate being dead.

This is not a very tough fight generally, but perhaps I can be of service.

What's your party look like? How many members? What level are you? What is the general setup?

The fight isn’t too bad with the proper engagement. Make sure to split your party up before the fight and take up strong positions. You can cover a large area in oil and initiate from a distance making the enemy have to dodge through the oil or waste their AP. Just don’t initiate through conversation and simply attack instead.

He is one of the tougher fights in that act, so I would suggest saving it until near the end. Explore the whole map and finish up other quests first. If you are at or above his level (very possible) and have at level gear, you should have a relatively easy time with him. As noted above, split up your party and dont have any melee characters engage the advocate directly, as he will mess them up with that aura of his.

So my character is a battlemage with polymorph and lightining attacks and a bit of warfare. Lohse is a support healer with necromancy. I made sibele an Archer with pyro and ifran a Tank

You can respec all your characters for free at the mirror in Lady Vengeances's hold if need be. How do you suspect you've screwed up your builds?

Well for starters... my character is a mix of a tank and a mage. So i mixed the stat to memory, strength and int . But i feel like focusing on 1 or 2 stat would make it more effective.

Yeah, never split STR, INT or FIN. Pick just one of those, if your build doesn't work without stacking two of them, it isn't going to be an effective build in all liklihood. Minimalize CON only to those who need it for shields. You shouldn't be letting yourself take health damage often enough for it to matter. Simply make sure you have fortify, magic shell or other armor restore abilities on more characters to keep them from taking too much damage to begin with.

I mean, just STR, but what would you use the INT for to begin with? Even so, if you intend to use dual weapons, that'd be a STR build (unless it was daggers).

last question.. .where do i find warfare sill books?
Chaoslink Aug 9, 2018 @ 8:25pm
Depends on what act you're in. Early warfare books are found in the cave with the elves in Fort Joy. It would be different depending on where you are though.
