The child is locked in one of the three basements on the Bloodmoon island. To unlock them you will need someone with the Scholar tag and to read a book called something-Hymn, that can be found in the Ryker's basement and in the Bloodmoon island vault. Only Scholars will be able to read it. After your character read it, you can talk to three statues which are close to the main gatrs on the island. Basically you will see yellow flags there. That's about it :)

Her narrative was changed in the Definitive edition and now she has a story which will be continued in Act 4 :)

Just reached Arx and met the girl already. Where can I find her name? Or will I be able to find her name just by exploring and playing the other quests? (If the latter is the case, please don't tell me where I can find her name).

Yes, you can find her name in one of the Arx locations with a small quest involved (quest is not related to the girl). Alternatively, if you have enough persuasion, you don't need to learn her her name and use another option, offering yourself as a host.

I tried the "offering yourself as host" option once, but as it kills whoever uses that option, it put me at a disadvantage as it killed my strongest character. Maybe if I level 19 up to level and still haven't found her name I will just use that option.

Thanks for the help!

There is a bunch of workarounds around this option :) I have done this quest while on Honour mode with 2 characters only, so here are my tips for the current situation:

1. Any character can have a persuasion. Simply use a mirror on Lady Vengeance and put enough points on your any other character that can be temporary sacrificed.
2. Character can be resurrected immediately when the fight starts.
3. I highly recommend putting Living on the Edge + Death Wish on this character immediately after resurrection.
4. Lvl 19 is indeed appropriate for it.

Good luck :)

I actually specialised in persuasion on my main character (useful for a lot of situations), so that wasn't the issue for me. I might be able to complete the fight now, as when I last did the fight I was on a different playthrough (my first playthrough) and my characters were badly built and underleveled. Sadly, none of my characters are built in necromancy, so I cannot use Living on the edge or death wish (although I am planning on doing a blood mage playthrough next!). I could ressurect my dead comrade, but I am roleplaying as the hero for this run and I think it would suit my character to find out the name to hopefully resolve the situation with no harm done to the girl.

However, as I have not done all this before, they might both lead to the same fight so it wouldn't matter either way haha.

There is no wrong way in playing this game, so everything you do or have done is completely valid and understandable :)

Also, no need in full Necromancer in the party, it's just nice to have those two spells for utility. Preferably on the character with the lowest initiative.

Yeah. I have got scoundrel for my ranger for example just for adrenaline, so I can understand putting a few points into necromancy for those. However, I will be using them in my next playthrough (if I do one) :)
