Whilst AC:O certainly is awesome, I would recommend Dos2 over it because of the fact that it has way more replayvalue and doesn't get as repetitive with sidequests/exploring as odyssey does. My opinion at least. Both good games, but contentwise Dos2 wins.
Yea, from what i saw the game seems to be much more vivid in terms of quests and exploration. Thanks :)
I don't have access to gamestop from here but i think that the game will get cheaper in the future. I also think that it's better to wait for future content as i was ready to buy the gold edition. Thanks :)
Yea i think i'll be getting the game.
Although i agree to a certain extent, for some players repetitive and tedious is not a bad thing. Calling the game dull is true on some levels but not completely. I, for instance, never played the previous games from the assassin's creed series but i like ARPG's a lot (grim dawn, path of exile, diablo II) and Origins has that ARPG vibe and the setting, the environment and the atmosphere that are awesome and at a discount worth the price to me.
But i want more story, choices and more freedom with consequences and that's why i think that i'm gonna like divinity: original sin 2 instead of odyssey more. I may pick it up later with a better discount though.
If you think AC Origins/Odyssey forces microtransactions on you then you're horribly misinformed.
and the more you play the less you need to upgrade until you dont at all
this vs that? apples vs oranges
both are excellent imho
D:OS 2 - released 1 year 2 months ago, discount - 35%
AC:Odyssey - released 2 months ago, discount - 50%

Really I'd recommend both. They're both great games but have nearly nothing in common other than being labelled as RPG's.
yikes
ACO is real time over the shoulder. So plays much more like a Skyrim game than a NWN game.
A big difference, for me at least, is character building is much simpler in ACO. Almost as if the character building has been dumbed down in favour of button mashing real time action.
ACO's graphics come across as more realistic than colourful. Reminds me a bit of the recent Tomb Raider games, but much more open world.
