It's cheating to be able to use someone elses inventory....
You should not be able to use or switch with another characters stuff....thats half the strt of inventory management.
Or for now on a huge pack mule in every game like D.S.(you gotta be old school):steamhappy:

I don't understand what you're saying. I'm pretty sure that in combat, on your turn, you can only use your own inventory.

Your party is distributing the materials between them, what would you have, the necessity of dropping items on the ground only to be picked up by another character? In a solo player game? That'd be ridiculous. Why add unnecessary steps to something as simple as inventory?

Yes, it may have been different in old school games but that changed because shared inventory is simply better for the player (and it isn't actually shared inventory, each character has a weight limit). If you don't want to use items in another character's inventory without extra hassle, then don't.

I agree with you entirely that its easier...but the fact that I can use a dead characters revive scroll on himself is taking away some strategic elements of the game.

I don't see a problem with the idea of one of your characters ruffling through your fallen companion's belongings to grab their scroll and cast resurrect on them. The act of taking the scroll requires action points, doesn't it? I'd guess that is what the AP cost is meant to reflect.

What's stopping anybody else in the group from just walking up and taking the necessary item from the fallen character's corpse? Especially when the game already has a Magic Pockets mechanic that allows characters to share keys and transfer items between each other no matter how far apart they are from each other.

I redistribute Rez scrolls equally among party members. If you're running out on the live characters, try playing better.

Could we agree it could be a game mechanic where you can share inventory but have to be at least within a set number of distance?
Amd maybe allow this size ti increase as a level up?

If there was a change to the mechanic, people would just spend more time in their inventory organizing it and making sure everyone has equal amounts of rez's/scrolls/etc. The current system is good, less time in menu's more time actually playing the game.

No, we cannot agree to your idea, because it only adds annoying busywork to the game.

Just stop, it is minor and not important at all. And obviously not cheating.

Funny you think sharing bag is cheating but you didnt mention anything about how we can teleport npc around during dialogue. If I want to change something, make npc immune to teleport during dialogue is top priority

Access to companion inventories has been a game element for decades in crpgs or it has been a unified inventory. Not allowing it would be rediculous.

As you would only be "cheating" yourself it's not cheating and as it is a game mechanic it's not even an exploit. If you don't like it just don't do it and be proud of yourself for making your own life unnessicarily cumbersome.

Then whats the point of a character being overburdened ?
Why not just mass learn spells and let everyone use all spells?

If you use companion's stuff, the game says you use it through magic pocket.

And what is the point of argueing this small stuff?
Or you want it to be more realistic?

1. Why do characters have no need to eat, pee or drink?
2. Where is stamina bar? why can they run all day and no tired?
3. Why is there no arrows mechanic? Crossbow and bow need arrows to shoot.
4. Why can character carry a lot of stuffs? Seriously it is not logical, like in real world, how can you carry a BARREL in your pocket?
5. Why is there elf, dwarf, undead here? We dont have them in real world
6. Why is this game so bad projecting real world?
7. Why do I play this game? Real world is more realistic

Conclusion: If you are bothered by this "micro" fiction game stuff, you can roleplay yourself in real world.
