Is inquisitor worth it?
And if so, what would be a nice build?

Nothing wrong with it. Don't limit yourself just to the presets though. You can make your build whatever you want and add whatever skills you want.

He focuses on intelligence, right? Meaning, should he not use two handed?
Chaoslink Nov 27, 2018 @ 11:05am
Two handed warfare/necro user? That sound about right? Yes. Very. Str build means you get solid physical armor values and with the lifesteal from necro, the talent living armor is a great combo. With Necro of 4-6 the 35% magic regeneration helps keep both armors intact, making you very durable while still being your average two handed knight with a little less warfare for awhile.

But if i read descriptions of the skills during character creation, they say that INTELLIGENCE and not STRENGTH, is added as bonus to damage, both for necros and warfare skills..

The average inquisitor doesn’t focus on necro spells for damage. You use the effects of those spells. Things like beating the enemy up with your weapon then using decaying touch to add decay then cast blood sucker on them to hurt them through the heal from blood. Warfare will increase the damage slightly though. A witch is more of the INT focus build for necro.

So, basically, inqui only hits hard with normal attacks then, since it doesn't add stat bonus to skill damage?

If you want to do an INT build, you can use a two-handed staff.

Well Inquistion seems to be a Warrior/Necromancy build. Kind of a Death Knight.

The starting attributes need changing. Don't want to pump both Str and Int in the same build.

Usually adding to Con is bad, but for a Necromancy build it might just work. Still I think I would rather start with +3 Str. Or possably +3Int if you want to do a staff build, but the guy in the picture seems to be resting on a war hammmer so I guess its +3Str (or +2Str + 1Wit)

Check out https://fextralife.com/divinity-2-builds-death-knight/ for some ideas.

Oh and Battering Ram has to be the weakest choice for warrior skill, go with battle stomp.

Eh, not really. It offers mobility even when slowed and gives you an extra knockdown. I'd easily take it over most other level 1-4 warfare skills.

Battering Ram is good. You can knock down whole groups of enemies (without Physical Armor) and move yourself without spending any movement points.

With Battle Stomp you still need to waste extra AP to walk next to the enemy.

But I actually use both of them.
